Duran Duran is more then just a hobby to me. I fell in love with their music when I was 9 yrs old. I was playing with my barbies and my sister Darlene who is 3 years older then me was listening to the radio (95 XIL) and I heard this song saying, "This is planet earth" and it caught my attention and I fell in love with the song and the voices and music immediately. This song had so much energy, that all I wanted to do was jump up and dance. I asked Dar what the name of the song was and who sang it and she said she didn't know. I bugged her a few more times asking the same question. Finally she said to listen to the radio and it might say who it was. That's just what I did and the man on the radio said something about that it was Duran Duran a new British band. Or something on those lines. I dropped my barbies and ran down the stairs and asked my mommy to buy me their tape and she did. From that point on I bought and talked nothing else but Duran Duran. I'm a Planet Earth Durannie. I have been a True Blue Durannie for 20 years. Duran Durans music has been a blessing to me. their music has soothed my heart and soul when I needed an understanding and no one else could give me one. I've been through a lot of rough times in my life and all I have had to do was to stick in a Duran Duran tape and it just soothed my mind, body and soul. To this day it does not matter the mood I'm in all I have to do is put in a Duran Duran tape and a immediate smile appears on my face. I believe that Simons voice and their music is a soothing agent all in its own. God Bless you Duran Duran and their families, because with out the family support they wouldn't still be making me smile. No matter the mood I'm in there songs are special. I feel when I listen to them I can be truly me. Thank you Duran Duran.

On my site you will view two out of the three concerts I have attended. I love Duran Duran, like many of you. I'm sorry their ain't as many pictures of them at the Myrtle Beach concert. A lot of the photos did not turn out. The other pictures I bought off from ebay. I want to mention this was the first and only concert my hubby has attended with me. He loved them and was very thrilled he was there to be a part of it. I was glad too. He said that he'd like to see them again. Thats a start with the hubby. Well, I hope you like and enjoy my site. The first picture here is of the House of Blues in MB where the number one band performed for us on March 11, 2001. The other two photos are the bandge I bought off from Tigerseye7 for the MB concert. The badge did not show up in time for the concert, but that is alright I had put the order in late for it, and there is always next year. Thank you Tigerseye, I love it and it looks great.
